Cariflex™ polyisoprene latex (Cariflex IR latex) delivers unmatched purity and consistency, making it an ideal alternative to natural rubber while offering enhanced benefits to medical and consumer applications.
Dipped goods manufactured from Cariflex IR latex exhibit high purity and strength with exceptional softness that significantly increases comfort, a result of very low modulus and elongation values up to 1,200 percent. Made of 65 percent polyisoprene rubber in water, Cariflex IR latex mirrors the key features of natural rubber (NR) latex and can be processed into dipped goods on existing lines. Cariflex IR latex it is a water-based product that can be used without the addition of extraction systems, solvent recovery loops or explosion-proof equipment. The product is compatible wherever NR latex is used and is versatile in a wide range of processes including dipping, heat coagulation and adhesive coatings.
Cariflex IR2GL1 BU latex is a developmental thermoplastic latex that combines the strengths of Cariflex polyisoprene latex with the benefits of thermoplastic materials.
