EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP PINE PRODUCTS

MARCELLO BOLDRINI

Co-CEO Kraton Corporation, CEO Kraton Pine Chemicals

Mr. Boldrini was previously appointed our Senior Vice President and President, in April 2017. He leads Kraton’s Pine Chemical businesses, including Pine Adhesives and Chemical Intermediates. Prior to Kraton, Mr. Boldrini held senior-level roles at Houghton International, Hexion/Momentive, Ashland, Quaker Chemical, and Unilever/Unichema, and served on several JV boards internationally.

Mr. Boldrini holds a MS in Chemistry from the University of Milan, Italy and an MBA from Bocconi University in Milan Italy.

CHRISTOPHER B. GINGRICH

Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Finance Officer, Kraton Polymers

Mr. Gingrich was appointed Kraton Vice President & Chief Financial Officer in 2022, while also serving as Chief Accounting Officer from December 2020. Mr. Gingrich joined Kraton in 2010 as a Senior Accountant and has since held several leadership roles within the company including Assistant Controller. Before Kraton, Mr. Gingrich worked in public accounting in roles of increasing complexity with both Deloitte and Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Gingrich earned a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University and an M.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Houston. Mr. Gingrich is a certified public accountant.

TORSTEN SCHMIDT

Vice President of Commercial, Kraton Pine Chemicals

Mr. Schmidt has served as VP of Marketing for Kraton Pine Chemicals since 2018 and was recently promoted to VP of Commercial. Mr. Schmidt joined Kraton in 2013 as a Manager for Kraton’s Cariflex business and held several senior-level positions including VP of Performance Chemical Sales before assuming his current role. ​Mr. Schmidt started his career in 1992 with Hoechst AG, working in engineering, operations, and strategy roles prior to serving as Business Director with Hoechst AG, Hoechst Celanese, KoSa & Invista.

Mr. Schmidt holds a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg in Germany

KORY COX

Chief Finance Officer, Kraton Pine Chemicals

Mr. Cox was appointed Kraton Chief Finance Officer in 2022. Mr. Cox joined Kraton in May 2017 as a Chemical Segment Director and served most recently as a Sr. Director of Corporate FP&A from June 2021. Mr. Cox has over 30 years of experience within the oil & gas and petrochemical industry serving in various finance capacities. He started his career in public accounting at both Ernst & Young and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Mr. Cox earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Houston.

MARIANNE ROS

Vice President of Research & Development, Kraton Pine Chemicals|

Dr. Ros was appointed Vice President of Research & Development in 2022. In her role, she is responsible for research & development and technical support for Kraton Pine Chemicals. Most recently, Dr. Ros served as Technical Director for the Pine Chemicals business. Prior to this, Dr. Ros has held various R&D leadership positions at Kraton related to polymer and process development,Cariflex, and Polymer and Pine Adhesives. Dr. Ros started her industrial career in the Analytical Department at Shell.

Dr. Ros holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics from the University of Leiden in The Netherlands.

ROGIER ROELEN

Vice President, General Counsel & Company Secretary

Rogier Roelen was appointed Kraton General Counsel and Company Secretary in 2022. Mr. Roelen joined Kraton in July 2019 as Head of Legal for EMEA & APAC. Prior to Kraton, Mr. Roelen served in a number of roles with increasing responsibilities in the legal department of AkzoNobel, including leadership roles in Asia, North America, and Europe. Previously, he was an associate with Dutch law firm AKD, handling a wide range of corporate, M&A, regulatory, and compliance matters.

Mr. Roelen earned an M.A./ J.D. degree from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

MINCO VAN BREEVOORT

Vice President of Procurement and Supply Chain, Kraton Pine Chemicals

Mr. Van Breevoort was appointed Vice President of Procurement and Supply Chain, which expanded on his role of Vice President of Strategic Product Management & Raw Materials, Mr. van Breevoort joined Kraton in 2011 as Director of Finance and held several leadership positions of increasing responsibility in Finance, Corporate Development, Pine Chemical Procurement, and Product Management. Prior to joining Kraton, Mr. van Breevoort held several roles in the fields of strategy, procurement, and finance at Shell Chemicals, Shell Oil Products, Unilever and served on several Joint Venture boards.

Mr. Van Breevoort holds an MBA in economics and accounting from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.

EDGAR BAENA

Vice President of Global Operations

Mr. Baena was appointed Vice President of Global Operations in 2023. In this role, Mr. Baena will lead Kraton’s Pine Chemicals Global Operations, including eight production facilities, Global Engineering, Quality, and HSES. 

Most recently, he served as an Operations leader for Lubrizol Corporation – A Berkshire Hathaway Company- where he partnered with the Advanced Material Division. Mr. Baena’s thirty years of industry experience include a variety of leadership and technical roles rooted in people development and operational excellence. Mr. Baena holds a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander and an MBA from Northwood University.

KRISTEN BOYD

Vice President Communications

Ms. Boyd is the Vice President, Communications for Kraton, with responsibility for leading the company’s global integrated communications, marketing. In this role, Kristen protects and strengthens Kraton’s reputation by guiding external, internal, executive and digital communications, strategic marketing, and branding. Kristen has more than 22 years’ experience in a variety of leadership roles.

Ms. Boyd earned a B.A. in Business from Letourneau University.

GARRY OOSTHUIZEN

Vice President, Human Resources

Mr. Oosthuizen was appointed Kraton Vice President, Human Resources in 2022. In his role, Mr. Oosthuizen is responsible for leading Kraton Chemical’s Human Resources function. Before Kraton acquired Arizona Chemical in 2015, Mr. Oosthuizen served as VP and CHRO for Arizona Chemical. Prior to that he worked for Nissan, Bradley Co. and Kimberly-Clark in various senior global HR roles. He has lived and worked in South Africa, Austria, the UK and the US.

Mr. Oosthuizen holds a M.A. in Human Resources from the University of Johannesburg and an Executive Coaching Certification from the University of Georgia.

Pedro Lopes

Chief Sustainability Officer

Mr. Lopes was appointed Chief Sustainability Officer in 2022. Mr. Lopes is responsible for the organization’s sustainability strategy, direction, and initiatives. Mr. Lopes has held multiple leadership positions in the organization since 2004, most recently serving as the Senior Director for the EMEA Commercial organization.

Mr. Lopes has a MBA with Distinction from the Imperial College London Business School and holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Instítuto Superior Técnico in Portugal.
