EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP POLYMERS

HOLGER R. JUNG

Co-CEO Kraton Corporation, CEO Kraton Polymers

Dr. Holger R. Jung, previously our Senior Vice President and CEO of Kraton Polymers, is responsible for all sales, marketing and market development activities for our Polymer business. Dr. Jung joined us from Invista, a Koch Industries subsidiary, where he held a number of positions of increasing responsibility, serving most recently since 2008 as Vice President of Invista’s North American Polyester & Intermediates business, overseeing the successful sale of that business to Indorama in 2011. Dr. Jung commenced his employment with Hoechst AG in 1990 prior to the sale of Hoechst’s polyester businesses to Koch in 1998, in positions including research and development chemist, technical service manager, and positions with oversight for quality management, strategic planning, and for the marketing and sales functions of KoSa’s European Polyester Specialty Polymer Business.

Dr. Jung holds a Ph.D. in polymer chemistry from the University of Marburg in Germany.

CHRISTOPHER B. GINGRICH

Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Finance Officer, Kraton Polymers

Mr. Gingrich was appointed Kraton Vice President & Chief Financial Officer in 2022, while also serving as Chief Accounting Officer from December 2020. Mr. Gingrich joined Kraton in 2010 as a Senior Accountant and has since held several leadership roles within the company including Assistant Controller. Before Kraton, Mr. Gingrich worked in public accounting in roles of increasing complexity with both Deloitte and Arthur Andersen.

Mr. Gingrich earned a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University and an M.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Houston. Mr. Gingrich is a certified public accountant.

MICHAEL FRENZL

Vice President, Procurement & Supply Chain

Mr. Frenzl was appointed VP of Procurement and Supply Chain in 2022. He is responsible for the procurement of all raw and indirect materials as well as supply chain including supply planning, customer fulfillment, and logistics. Mr. Frenzl joined Kraton in October 2001 and has held various leadership positions before serving most recently as the European Business Director for Performance Products since 2015.

Prior to Kraton, Mr. Frenzl worked in marketing, sales, and customer fulfillment roles at Nova Chemicals and Shell Chemicals Europe. Mr. Frenzl holds a commercial degree from the Berufsakademie in Frankfurt, Germany. 

BAS HENNISSEN

Vice President, Sales & Marketing - Specialty Polymers

Mr. Hennissen was appointed Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Specialty Polymers in 2020. He is responsible for all sales, marketing, and market development activities globally for Kraton’s Specialty Polymer products. Mr. Hennissen has over 30 years of experience in the chemical industry. He started his career with Shell Chemicals and later worked for Hexion and Port of Rotterdam in various senior commercial roles in Europe and the US. Mr. Hennissen joined Arizona Chemical Company in 2015, which was acquired by Kraton in 2016. Following the merger, Mr. Hennissen served as the Business Unit Director for Cariflex and subsequently was appointed VP of Sales Asia, based in Shanghai. 

Mr. Hennissen holds a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a master’s degree in Business Marketing from the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands.

SHANE BROOMALL

Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer

Mr. Broomall was appointed Kraton Vice President, and Chief Human Resources Officer in 2022. In his role, Mr. Broomall is responsible for leading Kraton’s overall human resources strategy, organizational design, global talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, employee education and development, compensation and benefits, and HR operations for Kraton.  Prior to serving in this role, Mr. Broomall led multiple HR functions within Kraton since 2015, including his most recent appointment as Senior Director of Human Resources and Total Rewards. Before Kraton, Mr. Broomall held several HR leadership positions at Cemex, Inc. and Mueller Company.

Mr. Broomall has a BA in Psychology from the University of West Florida and is a Certified Labor Relations Leader from Michigan State University.

ERNST STOELZEL

Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Performance Products

Ernst Stoelzel joined Kraton as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Performance Products in August 2017 and is responsible for the sales, marketing, and market development of the Performance Products business.  Prior to joining Kraton, Mr. Stoelzel was the Senior Executive Vice President of Global Procurement & Logistics at Semperit Holding AG, Vienna from 2011.  He also held various leadership positions at RHI AG, Vienna, INVISTA, KoSa (JV Koch Ind.), and Hoechst Group.

Mr. Stoelzel received a Diploma Betriebswirt in Economics from the University of Mainz (FH) and attended the Executive Development Program Kellogg’s Business School, Northwestern University in 1992

KATHRYN WRIGHT

Vice President of Research & Development, Kraton Polymers

Since 2015, Dr. Kathryn Wright has headed Research & Development, leading the global innovation efforts for Kraton Polymers which include New Product Development, Application Development and Technical Service. Dr. Wright is a 20-year Kraton veteran, having held various R&D leadership roles related to specialty polymers, emerging businesses, Cariflex, and tread enchancement additives for the tires market.

Dr. Wright holds a BSc in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Florida, and an MSc and Ph.D. in Polymer Science & Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Wright is also an inventor of more than 18 distinct patent families.

DAVID SCHOFIELD

Vice President of Manufacturing, Kraton Polymers

Mr. Schofield was appointed Vice President of Manufacturing for Kraton Polymers in 2022. He previously served as Director of Manufacturing for Kraton Polymers since January 2019. Prior to this, Mr. Schofield held several roles in Kraton including Director of Quality and Lean Six Sigma, and Plant Manager for Oulu, Finland, and the UK respectively. Before joining Kraton Mr. Schofield worked for National Starch and Chemical in manufacturing, and engineering roles based both in the UK and Germany.

Mr. Schofield holds a degree in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.

ROGIER ROELEN

Vice President, General Counsel & Company Secretary

Rogier Roelen was appointed Kraton General Counsel and Company Secretary in 2022. Mr. Roelen joined Kraton in July 2019 as Head of Legal for EMEA & APAC. Prior to Kraton, Mr. Roelen served in a number of roles with increasing responsibilities in the legal department of AkzoNobel, including leadership roles in Asia, North America, and Europe. Previously, he was an associate with Dutch law firm AKD, handling a wide range of corporate, M&A, regulatory, and compliance matters.

Mr. Roelen earned an M.A./ J.D. degree from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

KRISTEN BOYD

Vice President, Communications

Ms. Boyd is the Vice President, Communications for Kraton, with responsibility for leading the company’s global integrated communications, marketing. In this role, Kristen protects and strengthens Kraton’s reputation by guiding external, internal, executive and digital communications, strategic marketing, and branding. Kristen has more than 22 years’ experience in a variety of leadership roles.

Ms. Boyd earned a B.A. in Business from Letourneau University.

JEFF MATHERS

General Manager, BiaXamTM

Mr. Mathers was appointed our General Manager BiaXam Technology in July 2021. He is responsible for the technical and global market development of novel polymer. Prior to joining Kraton, Mr. Mathers was Director of Global Marketing and Strategy at Filtration Group. He spent eight years at Kimberly-Clark Corporation leading the tissue and skincare businesses and has held various marketing, strategy and innovation roles at Goodyear, Gojo Industries, and Performance Health.

Mr. Mathers earned an MBA in International Business from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Pedro Lopes

Chief Sustainability Officer

Mr. Lopes was appointed Chief Sustainability Officer in 2022. Mr. Lopes is responsible for the organization’s sustainability strategy, direction, and initiatives. Mr. Lopes has held multiple leadership positions in the organization since 2004, most recently serving as the Senior Director for the EMEA Commercial organization.

Mr. Lopes has a MBA with Distinction from the Imperial College London Business School and holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Instítuto Superior Técnico in Portugal.
