Board of Directors
Kraton’s Board of Directors (Board) sits at the top of Kraton’s Governance structure and consists of four Directors. The Board’s Strategy, Sustainability, and Investments (SSI) Committee and the Audit and Compliance Committee specifically oversee Kraton’s sustainability initiatives on behalf of the Board.
The Sustainability Council, chaired by the CSO, oversees and facilitates the development and implementation of Kraton’s corporate global sustainability strategy.

Joongshik Suh is a seasoned executive in the global chemical industry, currently serving as Senior Executive Vice President at DL Chemical. With over three decades of experience, Mr. Suh has played a pivotal role in driving strategic growth, innovation, and international expansion within the petrochemical sector.
Before joining DL Chemical in 2025, Mr. Suh held a series of senior leadership roles at LG Chem and LG Corp. His career reflects a deep expertise in high-performance materials, polyolefins, and global sales and marketing. Notably, he led LG Chem’s operations across North and South America and oversaw key divisions including High Performance Materials and Polyolefins. His strategic insight and leadership significantly contributed to LG’s global positioning in advanced chemical solutions.
Mr. Suh began his career at LG Chem in 1991 and steadily rose through the ranks, also holding influential roles at LG Corp. in business and corporate strategy. His blend of technical acumen and business foresight has made him a respected figure in the industry.
He holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea.

Romi (Hyunsik) Yoon is an accomplished executive with over two decades of global leadership experience spanning the technology and construction industries. Most recently serving as Executive Vice President, COO, and CHO at DL E&C Co., Ltd., he played a pivotal role in corporate strategy, operational efficiency, innovation, and talent development. His tenure included board membership and leadership of key committees, where he drove transformative initiatives in cost management, safety compliance, and new business development—including ventures in SMR nuclear technology, carbon capture, and clean energy.
Prior to DL E&C, Romi led marketing and product strategy for LG Electronics’ Mobile Communications division, both in Korea and the U.S. He was instrumental in launching innovative smartphone form factors and forging strategic partnerships with global tech leaders like Qualcomm, Google, and Microsoft. His work helped LG secure market leadership in LTE and expand its brand presence through high-impact campaigns and product positioning.
Romi holds a Master’s degree in International Commerce from Korea University and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Oregon. His career began in international sales at Daewoo Co., Ltd., including an overseas assignment in Thailand. With a proven track record in strategic planning, innovation, and cross-cultural leadership, Romi is passionate about driving growth and transformation in dynamic global environments.

Sangwoo Ryu is the Chief Executive Officer at Kraton Corporation and Cariflex Pte Ltd, leading each global business alongside their respective executive leadership teams with a focus on strategic decision-making, operational excellence, fiscal responsibility, and long-term growth. Appointed CEO of Kraton in February 2026, he is also responsible for the company’s customer-facing strategy, ensuring that Kraton strengthens its market presence and deepens customer partnerships worldwide. He works closely with the DL Group and its affiliates to enhance synergies across the group’s portfolio of companies and to drive Kraton’s continued success in the global market.
With more than 25 years of experience in finance and operations leadership, Sangwoo has built a strong track record across international markets. He joined Cariflex in February 2020, just prior to the company’s acquisition by DL Chemicals, and initially served as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he played a critical part in shaping Cariflex’s financial strategy, overseeing global accounting, tax reporting, investment control, and funding activities, and supporting the company in developing strategic and operational plans.
Before joining Cariflex, Sangwoo held senior financial leadership positions at a US-headquartered IT company, where he served as Financial Controller for the APAC Global Business. In this capacity, he managed financial operations across multiple Asian markets and sat on the boards of directors in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and South Korea. He began his career at Hewlett-Packard as a financial analyst and has extensive expertise in accounting, business planning and analysis, controllership, and tax.
Sangwoo also serves as a Board Member of Kraton Corporation, where he provides guidance to support Kraton’s sustainable growth, optimization initiatives, and cross-company collaboration.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, and served as an military officer in the Republic of Korea Army prior to his corporate career.
