Governance and Ethics

Sustainability forms an integral part of Kraton’s governance, with oversight starting at the Board of Directors and the Strategy, Sustainability, and Investments (SSI) Committee. The SSI Committee leads the evaluation and management of climate-related and broader sustainability issues, while the Audit & Compliance Committee integrates climate risks into the company’s Enterprise Risk Management Assessment and ensures full compliance with regulations.

Sustainability Governance

Kraton’s Chief Sustainability Officer leads the global sustainability strategy and chairs the Sustainability Council, which brings together executive leaders from key business functions to embed sustainability within the company’s strategy and daily operations. The Council guides Kraton’s corporate sustainability and ESG plans by:

  • Providing strategic oversight.
  • Enabling cross-functional executive leadership decision-making.
  • Tracking the progress of sustainability and ESG initiatives.
  • Prioritizing initiatives to align with the Polymers and Pine Chemicals business’s critical success factors.

Kraton established Sustainability Task Forces in both the Polymers and Pine Chemicals businesses, and the dedicated corporate sustainability team ensures sustainability goals become measurable results through coordinated internal and external initiatives.
