Q: What drew you to pursue a career at Kraton? 

In 2012, two compelling factors led me to join Kraton. Firstly, its global reach and footprint caught my attention. Secondly, the company’s diverse array of pine-based products played a crucial role across various industries worldwide. Kraton’s international presence, market diversification, access to diverse talent, economies of scale, strong brand recognition, strategic partnerships, adaptability to different markets, and commitment to innovation were all appealing. Additionally, I appreciate working for an international company like Kraton, which provides opportunities for cultural diversity, global experiences, personal growth, and networking. Kraton’s promise of a dynamic and enriching environment has propelled my career forward.

Q: Can you briefly explain your role and what you do?  

I direct Kraton’s North American logistics, Customer Service, Global Tolling, and our Plant Supply Chain Teams. My role is to ensure we have the essential tools and resources for efficient goods movement and customer satisfaction. By optimizing logistics, maximizing our assets and resources, we minimize costs and lead times, boosting our market competitiveness. Effective customer service fosters loyalty, increases sales, and elevates Kraton’s reputation, thereby stimulating growth and profitability. My role is to also prioritize nurturing the growth and recognizing the value of our North American supply chain team, providing opportunities for their development, and ensuring they feel valued and appreciated in their contributions.

Q: How has Kraton contributed to your professional or personal growth and development? 

Kraton has provided me with great opportunities to push my career boundaries, stretching myself to grow in new assignments leading to some of the most significant and exciting learning experiences of my professional journey from Customer Service to Commercial Sales and now as Supply Chain Director.

Q: What aspects of Kraton’s company culture inspire or motivate you?

I am motivated by relationships and teamwork. As a people-oriented individual, I believe that the most effective work is accomplished collaboratively, within teams rather than by individuals. I have built many everlasting relationships at Kraton that have touched and continue to positively impact my life in many ways.

A: It helps me enhance my sense of purpose, pride, and fulfillment. Engaging in service activities with colleagues strengthens bonds and fosters positive relationships. In addition, participating in these contributions to our community inspires continued involvement and inspires others to get involved as well.

Q: What’s a fun fact about you?  

A: My first job as a 16-year-old immigrant living in Miami was at McDonald’s, where I hosted kids’ birthday parties and worked as a drive-thru cashier. It was a blast, and I had unforgettable experiences with my best friend.
