Q: What drew you to pursue a career at Kraton?
Knowing that the company was diverse played a significant role in my desire to work at Kraton.
Q: Can you briefly explain your role and what you do?
As a Customer Service Manager, I manage our customer service team, which supports the North American, South American, and Caribbean regions. Our team helps with order management and fulfillment, addresses customer inquiries, and helps prospects with new customer setups. Our team works every day via cross-functional collaboration with various functions, such as plant supply chain, planning, logistics, finance, and commercial teams.
Q: How has Kraton contributed to your professional or personal growth and development?
I joined Kraton as a Customer Account Representative, and only one year later, an opportunity arose to apply for a new role when the previous CS manager announced her retirement. Thanks to my fantastic team, and our supply chain leadership, it’s been a wonderful experience to step into this role.
Q: What aspects of Kraton’s company culture inspire or motivate you?
It’s diversity. I love working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, those who have been with Kraton for years and share their knowledge, and those from new companies with fresh ideas and perspectives. As a US immigrant, I appreciate that differences are welcomed and often even celebrated.
Q: What would you tell someone considering a career at Kraton about why they should choose to work here?
You will meet interesting people, grow your career, make an impact, and always feel supported.
Can you share a personal accomplishment or project that you’re particularly proud of during your time at Kraton?
Our team launched the Order Change Request form as a new collaboration tool that connects CS, plant logistics, and scheduling via SharePoint form. It helps to streamline communication, improve data visibility, and visualize customers’ habits and impacts from frequent customer order changes.
Q: What’s a fun fact about you?
I am European, born and raised in Slovakia, but my favorite food to cook and the culture I adore are Mexican. I have lived in southern California for 10 years and used to cross the MX border practically every month.
